Ethanol is normally sourced from plants like sugar cane, bananas, potatoes and corm. The gel fireplaces are often made from grade 304 stainless steel. This special design allows the fuel burners to contain the fuel in an enclosed space. Though modern fireplaces are a lot safer as best exemplified by the gel fuel fireplace, you should never leave your fireplace unattended particularly when it is still burning. Like any other fireplace, you should have the proper fireplace tools including a fire extinguisher in case of fire. This is your primary safety measure.
